On behalf of the staff, children and governors I would like to welcome you to our school website.
I undertook my new role as Headteacher at All Saints Primary School in January 2014 having worked in three other Manchester schools. I feel privileged to be working with such a vibrant and inclusive school community.
I always put children first and at All Saints Primary school this vision is embraced by every member of the team to provide a secure and safe learning environment. Please feel free to come and visit our school and you will see this ethos in practice.
All Saints is a community school catering for approximately 241 pupils aged 3 to 11 situated in Gorton, Manchester, and we operate a one form entry school. We value the diversity of our school community and encourage parents and carers to work in partnership in order that every child can achieve the very best that they can.
We believe that we have fantastic children from a range of backgrounds. We encourage children to succeed and achieve to the very best of their ability, developing the life skills that they need to be successful in today’s society. Most importantly we are committed to ensuring that your child is happy at school with a love for learning throughout their Primary School Years.
Our Response to Current Events.
The appalling attack at the Manchester Arena last night is currently being treated as a suspected terrorist incident. All our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones or been injured or traumatised. The police, hospitals, Council and emergency services are doing all they can to support them. As a City we will remain strong and it is more important than ever that our communities continue to support each other.
Our school leadership team will continue to ensure the safety of our children and security of our school building, and will remain vigilant at all times.
We appreciate these terrible events will be distressing for your children and the school community. We will remain open as usual and we appreciate your support in keeping the day as calm and normal as possible for the children. We have access to Educational Psychology Services should anybody require this.
There is an increased number of police, including armed patrols out in communities following yesterday's incident. These are general patrols aimed at providing community reassurance and there is no need to be alarmed.
There is no intelligence relating to a threat to schools and GMP are not advising any schools to close.
As we receive further information from the City Council, we will update parents/carers via our website, by letter or text.
Please feel free to come and speak with us if you have any concerns.
