This year the school received £8,633 funding as part of the primary school sport funding. The breakdown of this spending is as follows:

The main goals of the funding for 2013-14 are to raise the level of basic movement and multi-skills in the Lower and Upper school children and inspiring children to be active during break time and lunchtimes. All teachers and the vast majority of lunch time organisers were trained on using these resources to play and develop children’s skills in. Basic movement skills are a very important aspect for children’s development. Sports coaches work with children in Years 1-2 to develop these gross motor skills too.
PE Equipment/Resources: £1,598
Replenishment or stocking of equipment for games, dance and gymnastics sessions.
Lunch time Resources/Equipment: £944
Equipment to be used at lunch times to encourage physical development and give opportunities to all children to improve and try out new skills.
School Set of PE kits: £80
PE kits were bought so that children that don’t have their PE kit in for the session can go and collect one from the office and return it after the session. Therefore participation levels in all sessions is extremely high.
In total, £9,246 has been spent to improve the PE and physical activity of the children at All Saints.
